When damaged, an Uragnite retreats into its shell. While in its shell it is resistant to both physical (-75%) and magical damage, and gains a powerful Regen effect that cannot be dispelled. Also while in its shell, it reacts to further physical damage with a very powerful area effect Poison (about 12dmg/tick). While in its shell it does not make physical attacks and does not move, but its poison is very debilitating (bring many many antidotes or Poisona). The best way to defeat this is with good timing. Build up TP while it is in its shell, and when it pops out briefly wail on it with your weapon skills and most powerful magic attacks before it retreats back into its shell. Do not bother wasting TP or MP while its in its shell, its damage reduction is depressing. Opening the fight with Ancient Magic is a good idea, when it goes after the mage, hit it with physical attacks to make it hide and stop moving.
