Makes you immune to Overloading. This allows you to spam Maneuvers (See also Puppetmaster, Pet Commands) without any risk of getting the Overloaded debuff. This is useful in a sticky situation when you need to be able to depend on something bad not happening at a bad time. **Note: You still build elemental fatigue during the effect. If you are spamming the same maneuver repeatedly, be careful that you don't overload after the Overdrive effect wears off.
If you are currently overloaded, Overdrive causes the effect to wear off more quickly (but not instantly).
Increases the automaton's offensive and defensive abilities.
Maneuvers have their effects tripled. For example, a fire Maneuver will have the same effect as 3 on an attachment. However, the effect caps with a single maneuver. Using multiple maneuvers of the same element will have no effect.
To Best utilize Overdrive offensively, Equip the Turbo Charger, Attuner, Target Marker, Dynamo, and Optical Fiber. Activate a Fire, Wind, and Thunder maneuver before using Overdrive. With these attachments, your puppet will attack extremely quickly, powerfully, accurately, and have a high critical hit chance. This is the best comination for Offense, and is best used with the Sharpshot or Valoredge.
To Best utilize Overdrive defensively, Equip the Schurzen, Equalizer and all other Earth based defense attachments you can, Accelerator and Accelerator II, Mana Jammers, Auto repair kits, and Optical Fiber. Activate an Earth, Wind, and Light maneuver before using Overdrive. With these attachments, your puppet will have High defense, High evasion, High auto regen, and with the Schurzen, be able to prevent himself from dieing multiple times, if you keep earth maneuvers up. this setup is best used with the Valoredge.
Also, this is not fully proven, but tests have shown that Overdrive increases puppet status resistances nearly to a 100% chance of resisting any status effect.

Since Overdrive is a two hour special, some people prefer not to make a macro for it to prevent unintentional activation.
